Today’s Guideposts entry reminds me to focus on my destination, especially when detours or discouragement loom large.

On a somewhat sunnier related note, one of Lucca’s many charms is the broad, 2.5-mile wall, now closed to car traffic. It’s a breathtaking place to stroll, jog, or bike and we did plenty of all three.

It took a few laps and missteps to take note of our regular “exit” guideposts and make our way home. Not so bad given the view from above or below!
We can always enjoy the view along the way to where headed.

Thank you for reminding me of my beginnings as an avid cyclist. In May of 2015, a friend of mine embarked on a trek across America, intersecting with the 15 most prolific cities for sex trafficking. His goal was to raise awareness of trafficking in boys. I began riding 7 miles daily to support him and started commuting by bicycle to work and back, covering 22 miles each day. In June 2017, I began an annual adventure of riding BikeMS to raise funds for MS research and have since started participating in other charity events. Yesterday at church our new pastor mentioned the blackboard in back and mentioned we the congregation can get one. When church was over there was a long line because they had to stop and pause looking for the one. I went to it and picked the blue card it's Ephesians 4:3
Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. I think it fits my logic, and didn't you realize that biking is so different then jogging. You have to get on the bike that weighs. Get on your helmet that also weighs and ride in the direction you want. Thank you for writing your thoughts.
